Faverges

Nestled between Lake Annecy and the mountains, Faverges was, 2,000 years ago, an important stop along the great Roman road through the Alps. Back then, it was called Casuaria. Even today, you can discover the remains of that era, along with its exceptional treasure of more than 2,000 silver coins, buried before the barbarians arrived and now on display at the museum.
